As flight disruptions continue due to the ash cloud from an Icelandic volcano, new measures went into effect at midday Tuesday (May-18) that will let planes fly at higher ash densities than currently permitted.
Between Saturday and Monday, when disruptions were greatest, IATA said lost revenues reached $400 million each day.
