  • As flight disruptions continue due to the ash cloud from an Icelandic volcano, new measures went into effect at midday Tuesday (May-18) that will let planes fly at higher ash densities than currently permitted.
  • Between Saturday and Monday, when disruptions were greatest, IATA said lost revenues reached $400 million each day.
  • Armann Hoskuldsson, a volcanologist at the University of Iceland, told a briefing that the volcano's output is now "insignificant," though it will continue to be active for a while.

Schedule

Meet up at Mosharafeye center and head towards Shtoura City for our breakfast stop.

Continue our drive to Assi River where we will begin our rafting expedition to include sightseeing and swimming as well.

For those who do not wish to raft with us, you can enjoy a nice walk along the river and sightsee until we gather for lunch. Enjoy Lunch with nargileh and head back to Beirut.

For those who will be rafting, you will receive a life jacket, a helmet, paddles and skirt. Remember however to bring your tennis shoes, a bathing suit and a towel. You WILL get wet!
